Owls Split Matches on Day Two of H-E-B Invite

In Brief: Marte Lambrecht and Allison Zipoli improved to 3-1 in doubles for the weekend while Zipoli and Federica Trevisan improved to 2-0 in singles to highlight action for Rice on the second day of the H-E-B Fall Invitational at the Hurd Tennis Complex in Waco.

The Details: Lambert and Zipoli opened the action with a 6-2 win over Tennessee's Lauren Anzalotta & Elza Tomase. Saara Orav and Trevisan downed host Baylor's team of Isabella Harvison and Liubov Kostenko 6-3 to pick up their first doubles win of the weekend. Trevisan ground out a 7-6, 6-4 win over Kostenko in singles while Zipoi held off the Bears' Paula Barañano 6-3, 6-4.
