Five seniors honored
In Brief: The Rice men's tennis team (9-10) will honor five key contributors to the program in the Owls final home of 2021 as they host #20 Tulane. First serves have been moved up to 11 a.m. due to expected rains in the afternoon.. Rice will honor 2021 seniors Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, Jacob Eskeland and Conrad Russell along with 2020 senior Eric Rutledge and team manager Jared Aiman in pre-match ceremonies.
Fans in the Stands: Home matches at the GRBTC are once again open to the public with the following guidelines.

Tulane: The Green Wave are ranked 20th in the latest Oracle/ITA computer rankings and 26th in the coaches poll. They are 13-6 on the season and five wins against teams ranked in the top 30. They have won their last two, including wins over #29 Wichita State and #37 VCU last weekend at home. Rice leads the series 8-7, but Tulane has won the last three. This is the third consecutive meeting at GRBTC on Senior Day. Rice's last win in the series was a 4-3 decision on Senior Day 2016 while Tulane won 6-1 in 2019.

One for Mo: Mohamed Abdel-Aziz was named Conference USA's Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week after posting an unbeaten set of results last weekend vs. SMU and Prairie View. It's his first career weekly honor from the conference and the first for the Owls since Sumit Sarkar was named three times in 2019.
