
Forbes Earns C-USA All-Academic Team Honors

Second straight year for sophomore All-American
DALLAS – Rice sophomore All-American Grace Forbes was selected to the 2021 Conference USA Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Wednesday (10/26).
Forbes has been named the C-USA Female Athlete of the Week three times this season, winning three separate individual titles while placing second overall in another. Forbes is most recently coming off a victory at the Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational, where she established a personal best time of 19:53 in the 6k race.
The native from Wallingford, Pa. holds a 3.86 GPA while majoring in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology. Forbes was named the C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2021 and is a two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Award winner. In addition to last year's C-USA Cross Country academic recognition, Forbes was also named to the C-USA Track & Field All-Academic Team.
Forbes and the Owls will be competing at this Saturday's C-USA Championship race in Charlotte, N.C. at 9 a.m. (CT).
