Men’s Hoops Travels to Sam Houston State for Final Non-Conference Road Game

HOUSTON — Rice will travel to Sam Houston State this Saturday, December 19, for its final road non-conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the game will be streamed by the Bearkat Sports Network.
Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Saturday's game with a 5-1 record after defeating Houston Baptist last Tuesday, 90-79.
• Sophomore Quincy Olivari leads the Owls with 18.8 points per game, which is fourth in Conference USA. He leads the league in field goal percentage (56.1%) and three-pointers made per game (3.8) and is third in field goal percentage (54.9%).
• Sophomore guard Travis Evee is second on the team with 12.0 points per game. He is also ninth in C-USA in three-pointers made per game (2.3).
• Sophomore forward Max Fiedler is one of two players in the league averaging a double-double, scoring 10.3 points per game while pulling down 10.0 rebounds per game, good for second in the conference. He also leads the team in field goal percentage (59.0%) and assists per game (3.3).
• Junior guard Chris Mullins is scoring 10.8 points per game while graduate forward Tre Clark is adding 6.2 rebounds per game.
