The Lede: Diae El Jardi and Federica Trevsian each picked up straight set wins to highlight action for the Rice women's tennis team on the first day of the Aggie Halloween Classic in College Station, Texas.

The Details: El Jardi evened her record in fall singles to 2-2 by defeating Baylor's Anastasia Kharitonov 6-2, 6-3 while Trevisan improved to 2-1 with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Baylor's Hannah Pinto. In doubles, Michaela Haet and Linda Huang improved to 3-1 with a 6-3 win over Baylor's Audrey Boch-Collins and Kristina Sorokolet.
