Face Middle Tennessee at 10 a.m. on Friday
The Rice women's tennis team will be on familiar ground hoping to return to familiar territory this weekend as the Owls begin their quest for a seventh Conference USA Championship at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Friday.
This marks the third time Rice has hosted the championship, the second at GRBTC which has also hosted the C-USA men's championship twice since it debuted for the 2015 dual season.
The 41st ranked Owls (13-7) will face Middle Tennessee at 10 a.m. on Friday. The Blue Raiders advanced to Friday's quarterfinals with a 4-1 win over Louisiana Tech on Thursday.
Admission is free to the championship. Fans should park in the Greenbriar Lot on Friday and in West Lot 3 on both Saturday and Sunday.

They won five consecutive titles from 2013-2017, matching Houston's men's golf team as the only teams to win five consecutive postseason championships in any C-USA sport. The Owls streak ended last year in Norfolk, Virginia as FIU downed Rice, 4-3.
The Owls and Panthers have met in the last three title matches, but the defending champions entered play as the fourth seed. They advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-1 win over FIU.
