Owls Host Lumberjacks on Saturday
The Owls will play their second game in four days when they return to Tudor Fieldhouse to host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Saturday at 2 p.m. Rice is coming off a 81-50 road victory at McNeese on Wednesday afternoon while the Lumberjacks have dropped consecutive games and are 0-3 on the road. Saturday's meeting with NAU will be the second all-time between the two schools. The Owls defeated the Lumberjacks, 88-83, in the Rolle Activity Center two seasons ago.

The 'Jacks lead the Big Sky Conference in scoring at 77.2 points per game. NAU is also second in field goal percentage, shooting the ball at a 42.9 percent clip. Redshirt sophomore Nina Radford is the Big Sky's leading scorer with 17.8 points per game and is the only Lumberjack to score in double-figures in all four games

Behind a balanced scoring attack, the Owls entered the Thanksgiving break triumphantly with an 81-50 road victory at McNeese State Wednesday afternoon. Rice (3-3) placed five players in double-figures, led by 12 points apiece from senior guard Erica Ogwumike and sophomore guard Haylee Swayze. Freshman guard Destiny Jackson (11 points), freshman wing Lauren Schwartz (10 points), and freshman forward India Bellamy (10 points) also scored in double-figures. Freshman guard Katelyn Crosthwait just missed out on joining the group with nine points off the bench.
