Postgame Reaction – Shelley Pennington and Friends Head Coach Lindsay Edmonds
"Before the game, I told the players about listening to a coach's interview from another game I was watching, and the coach said, 'It was the end of the year, I didn't feel like we were playing for anything.' I challenged our group that we are always playing for something. First and foremost, we are playing with our pride, and our motto for the year is 'TNT, Today Not Tomorrow.' This game for us was as important as the last game and as important as the next game. Obviously, the first quarter was a battle, and they were shooting incredible. Tulsa is a very talented team. I think after that we responded with punches of our own in the second, third and fourth quarters, just to prove how important this game was for us, so I'm very proud of that."

With the lead down to nine, Alexis' jumper, followed by consecutive Hayes scores, pushed the advantage to 15 points. A pair of Ennis and Flores three-pointers countered Tulsa scores to close the half as Rice led 53-39 at halftime.
