American Releases 2026-27 WBB Conference Schedule

HOUSTON – The American Conference has announced the 2026-27 conference schedule for the Rice women's basketball team, featuring an 18-game schedule.
The Owls open the 2026-27 conference slate on Dec. 30 on the road at East Carolina before opening the new year at Temple on Jan. 2.
Rice's first conference homestand begins on Jan. 6 against Florida Atlantic with a home game against North Texas following on Jan. 9.
Three of the next four games are away for the Owls, starting on Jan. 16 at UTSA, with road games at UAB (Jan. 21) and Tulane (Jan. 27) being broken up by a quick home game with Tulsa (Jan. 24).
Charlotte (Jan. 31) and Memphis (Feb. 6) both make visits to Tudor Fieldhouse before another road swing at Wichita State and Tulsa.
Rice will have three of the next four games at home, starting with East Carolina (Feb. 17). A trip to Tampa to face South Florida follows on Feb. 20, with a pair of home games against Temple and UTSA rounding out February.
A final road trip to North Texas on March 3 is followed by a matchup with South Florida, the team's regular season finale, on March 6 at Tudor Fieldhouse.
Rice's non-conference schedule includes games against seven postseason teams from last season, with NCAA Tournament opponents Murray State, Princeton and Richmond, along with WNIT opponents Lamar, Middle Tennessee, Pepperdine and UTRGV.
TV assignments will be released at a later time.
