After Rice took the lead early in the second half, Louisiana Tech scored 21 of the final 24 points to defeat the Owls, 28-13.
The Story
After a scoreless first quarter, Haden Tobola gave Rice the lead with a 43-yard field goal early in the second quarter. But, La Tech took a 7-3 lead into halftime. Rice came right back as Shawn Stankavage and Austin Walter connected on a 68-yard touchdown to retake the lead. Jacqwis Dancy scored twice to give La Tech a 21-10 lead. Tobola added his second field goal to make it a one score game, but the Bulldogs iced the game with their fourth touchdown.

Aston Walter set career-highs with 17 carries for 72 yards. Austin Walter recorded his second straight 100-yard receiving game with five receptions for 101 yards.
