2007: Played in five games as a reserve... Credited with one tackle vs. Nicholls in a reserve role...Credited with a pair of assists against Baylor... Tied for second on the team with a career-high six tackles against Texas Tech.... Also credited with one pass breakup against Tech. OTHER RICE SPORTS: Competed in the multi-event competitions in both indoor and outdoor track... Scored six points for the Owls in the outdoor championships, finishing sixth in both the decathlon (5,115 points) and the javelin (185-8), and one point in the indoor meet with an eighth place finish in the heptathlon (4,139 points). 2006: True freshman who saw action in all 13 games... Finished the year with six stops (four primary)... Did not record any stats in his first three games, but recorded a pair of tackles and blocked a punt at Florida State... Recorded a tackle in four straight games (FSU, Army, Tulane and UAB)... Also credited with a tackle at Tulsa.
High School -- 2006 graduate of Carroll High in Southlake, near Fort Worth... Two-year starter for coach Todd Dodge... Captain of Carroll[apos]s state and national champions... Named all-state by the Associated Press and the Texas Sports Writers Association, and to the Fort Worth area super team by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram... High school teammate of fellow Rice recruits Evan Fentriss and Corbin Smiter... Had three interceptions on the season, but two were in the state championship game against Katy...
