Threw for 2,443 yards and a career-high 21 touchdowns in nine games, before missing the last three… His 2,443 yards passing were the second-highest in his career and the most through nine games by an Owl since Tommy Kramer had 2,571 on his way to becoming the first Owl to surpass 3,000 yards in a season (3,317 in 11 games) in 1976 and earning consensus All-American honors… Daniels’ 21 TD passes tied for fourth on the Rice single-season list and are one away from entering the career top ten… Tied his career high with 401 yards while leading the Owls over Houston to capture the Bayou Bucket, then set a new career-best with 434 yards (in three quarters) at USF… Became the first Rice quarterback to throw for over 400 yards twice in a season and matched Chase Clement as the only Rice QB to have two, 400-yard games in their career… He bettered his longest career completion in consecutive games with a 70-yard TD to Kobie Campbell vs. Texas Southern and an 80-yard TD to Dean Connors at USF… First Owl to win AAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against Houston (28-42, 401 yards, 3 touchdowns)… Held to one TD pass in the opener at Texas and then threw at least two in each of his last eight games—including two in the first half against SMU before not returning after his injury.

Set career-highs in passing yards (2,672), attempts (363), completions (216), and touchdowns (14) after graduating one year early from Mater Dei Catholic High… Became the second true freshman USC player to start at quarterback for USC in a season opener (Matt Barkley in 2009) when he took the field vs. UNLV… Threw for 282 yards, completing 21 of 35 and one touchdown in his debut … Missed the Arizona State game after suffering a concussion the week before vs. Utah.
