Honors at Rice
2023
Started all 13 games at nose tackle and was the Owls’ highest-graded defender by PFF (80.7) while posting career-best numbers in tackles (46), TFL (9-46), sacks (3.5/26), total pressures (31), hurries (20), and quarterback hits (5)… Played a career-high 680 snaps, including a single-game best 82 vs. East Carolina in which he was credited with five total pressures (four hurries)… Closed the season strongly, with 23 tackles over the last five games while registering a TFL in each (6.5 total) … Credited for 1.5 sacks and his solo sack in the opener at Texas, including a solo sack against the Longhorns’ Outland and Lombardi Award Watch list member left tackle Kelvin Banks, Jr. (the second he’d allowed in his career).

Returned to action after sitting out the 2021 campaign with an injury and played in 12 of 13 games, with two starts, and shared a TFL in five of the last eight … Saw action in a career-high 379 snaps… Credited with a career-best two tackles for loss (one sack) at LA Tech… Credited with three tackles four times (FAU, Charlotte, UTEP, and UTSA)... Received his degree in Sport Management in May of 2023.

Tied for second on the team with three tackles for loss in his first year as a starter... Second on the defensive line and sixth on the team with 21 tackles (4.25 per game)... Matched his career high with five tackles and set a career best with 1.5 sacks and TFL vs. Marshall... Added a pair of hurries vs. The Herd... A member of Mike Bloomgren's second recruiting class who signed in February of 2019 and went on to be named the Owls top freshman in his rookie year... Saw action in all 12 games as Myles Adams’ backup at defensive tackle and was credited with 14 tackles, including 2.5 for loss… Credited with his first career sack for a loss of 14 yards vs. LA Tech… Credited with a season-best four tackles in his collegiate debut vs. Army… Named to PFF’s All-Freshman of the Year third team.

One of two members of Duncanville's state runners up to sign with Rice (Tre'Shon Devones) … Unanimous choice as the Defensive MVP in District 8-6A, APSE All-State (second team) as well as a member of USA Today’s All-Texas Team (second team) after helping lead the Panthers to the 6A D1 state title game as a senior for coach Reginald Samples… Credited with seven sacks and over 20 TFLs as a senior after moving over from the offensive line where he earned all-district honors as a junior…Placed third in the district in the shot and also competed in powerlifting… Academic All-State second team and a member of FCA.
