Totals for receptions, yards and touchdowns (3) were career highs... Topped 100 yards for the first time vs. UTEP (112) and caught a pair of TD passes... Yardage total was the most for an Owl since Temi Alaka had 143 vs. Prairie View in 2016 and the most vs. a C-USA foe since Zac Wright had 120 at North Texas in 2016... 62 receptions rank seventh on the Rice season list... Reached double figures for the first time with 10 catches for 94 yards at North Texas... Averaged 27.4 on 14 KO returns and ranked 7th in C-USA with 383 kickoff return yards... 2017
True freshman who earned second-team, All-Conference USA and All-C-USA Freshman honors as a kick returner and won the Lipscomb Award as the Ows top freshman in a vote of his teammates... Averaged 7.8 yards per punt return, the highest mark for an Owl since 2011 when Mario Hull averaged 10.2. His 35-yard effort vs. Army was the longest by an Owl since 2010... Led the Owls in kickoff returns (17/132) and had three returns of at least 30 yards (38 vs. Army, 37 at UTSA, 30 vs. North Texas) Rushed for 82 yard on 14 carries during the year, with a long rush of 23 vs. Army and a top game of 30 yards on three carries at ODU...Caught four passes for 51 yards, including a pair for 27 yards at ODU.
Klein High School
Two-time unanimous All-District 15-6A for coach Shane Hallmark at Klein, as the Bearkats finished second in the district in his senior year... Caught 25 passes for 380 yards and nine touchdowns in five games before an injury as a senior and finished with 76 receptions for 1,105 yards and 16 touchdowns in his career... Also returned 27 kickoffs for 521 yards and touchdown in his career... Team captain as a senior... Also played baseball, twice earning all-district honors (unanimous as a senior) and was named the 2015 15-6A Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore... Holds the Klein season a and career records for stolen bases... National Honor Society member and three-time academic all-district selection... Treasurer for the KHS Student Council...
