Alexis Named American Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice sophomore Aniah Alexis received one final conference weekly honor after being named to the American Conference Honorable Mention for the sixth time this season, the league announced Sunday afternoon.
Alexis led the Owls this week, first with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block on the road at Charlotte. She followed that with 15 points, two rebounds, an assist and steal against UTSA.
On the week, Alexis averaged 12.5 points, four rebounds, 1.5 assists per game.
Rice (27-4, 17-1 American) heads to the American Conference Tournament in Birmingham, Ala.
