HOUSTON – Rice women's tennis heads to Waco this weekend for a pair of matches against Baylor and No. 23 Washington.
The Owls are coming off a split weekend, opening with a 6-0 win over North Texas on Friday before falling 4-0 to TCU on Sunday. The doubles team of Darya Schwartzman and Uma Bakaityte is ranked No. 28 in the latest ITA doubles rankings, released Feb. 4.
Rice trails Baylor 20-12 in the all-time series. The most recent meeting ended in a 4-3 loss for the Owls, who are 6-10 all time in road matches against the Bears. Rice has faced Washington only once, falling 7-0 in Seattle in 2009.
