Owls Earn No. 2 Seed in 2025 American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship

IRVING, Texas - The American Athletic Conference has announced that the 43rd-ranked Rice Owls have earned the No. 2 seed in the 2025 AAC Women's Tennis Championship.
With the No. 2 seed, Rice misses the first round and begins its championship run on Friday. The Owls will take on the winner of the No. 10 North Texas vs. No. 7 Tulane match on Thursday.
Florida Atlantic earned the conference's top seed after going 14-0 in the regular season, and are currently ranked No. 27 in the ITA's rankings.
The seeds were determined by the ITA rankings that will publicly release tomorrow.
The women's championship begins Thursday, April 17, and continues through the April 20 final. The winner of the women's championship will earn The American's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.
