HOUSTON - The 42nd-ranked Rice women's tennis team will take on its fourth and fifth-straight ranked opponents this week and third-consecutive on the road, facing the 73rd-ranked Memphis Tigers on Friday night before taking on the 38th-ranked Furman Paladins on Sunday morning.
Rice brings an 11-4 record into the weekend and on a six-match winning streak, taking down three-straight ranked opponents with UTSA (71), Princeton (63), and Columbia (69). Memphis brings a 4-10 record into the weekend, but has won three-straight matches coming into the match, defeating Harvard, then-67th-ranked Wichita State, and then-22nd-ranked Clemson. Furman brings an 11-2 record into Sunday's match and on a six-match win streak, defeating Belmont, Austin Peay, and Yale in the previous week.
