Flores Named AAC Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice sophomore guard Victoria Flores was named American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Flores led the Owls to a 1-1 week, leading Rice to a 64-45 win over Tulsa. Flores set yet another career-high with 26 points while adding eight rebounds, three assists and a steal against the Golden Hurricane.
She added nine points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists on the road at Florida Atlantic.
Since the start of conference play, Flores is 10th in scoring with 13.9 points per game. She is also 15th in assists with 2.9 per game.
The Owls (12-10) continue conference play Wednesday night against Tulane.
