
Fisher Named AAC Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice senior forward Malia Fisher earned her third weekly honor of the season after being named American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Fisher dropped a career-high 32 points last time out against Tulane. She finished shooting 12-of-22 from the floor, a career-high in made field goals, while adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
She is one of five athletes in the AAC to score over 30 points in a game this season.
Since her return, Fisher is averaging a team-leading 14.2 points per game, while also adding 6.1 rebounds per game.
The Owls (12-11) continue conference play Wednesday night at South Florida.
