Owls Set for Split Weekend at American Individual Championship and TCU Fall Open

HOUSTON – The Rice women's tennis team will compete at two events this weekend, with players split between the American Conference Individual Championship in Tulsa and the TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open in Fort Worth.
American Conference Individual Championship
Divna Ratkovic and Nithesa Selvaraj will represent the Owls in both singles and doubles play.
In singles, Selvaraj will open against Melisa Senli on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the round of 32. Ratkovic, the No. 2 seed, received a bye and will begin play in the round of 16 on Thursday at 2 p.m.
The duo will team up in doubles competition, opening against Irmak Ozturk and Tianni Zhou on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the round of 16.
TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open
Uma Bakaityte, Francesca Maguina, Valentina Ponce, Daniela Chica, Ema Mravcova and Anushka Ashar will compete at the TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open beginning Friday, Oct. 24.
Match times and opponents are yet to be determined. Competition will continue through Sunday.
