Registration Now Open for WBB Alumni Reunion

HOUSTON – Rice University women's basketball and the "R" Association are excited to announce the 2025 Women's Basketball Alumni Reunion, a special two-day event to celebrate the legacy of the Rice women's basketball program and reconnect alumni with the current team and staff. The reunion will take place on February 21-22, 2025, and promises to be a memorable experience for all participants.
Friday, February 21: The reunion kicks off with an open practice at the Owls' home court, where alumni can witness the team in action as they prepare for the upcoming game. Following the practice, alumni will enjoy a facility tour, showcasing the spaces that support the current team's success. The evening will culminate in a social/meet and greet with the current team and coaching staff, offering an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with old friends, share memories, and build new relationships with the next generation of Owls.
Saturday, February 22: The celebration continues on Saturday with a complimentary brunch at Adair Kitchen, where alumni can gather for a relaxed and casual meal. The day's festivities will include exclusive access to Trauber Suite before Rice's game against UTSA. Alumni will be honored with an on-court recognition during the game, where they will receive a warm welcome and acknowledgment for their contributions to the program's success.
"Our letterwinners are truly the lifeblood of our program, and I am thrilled to welcome them back to campus for our alumni reunion," said Shelley Pennington and Friends Head Coach Lindsay Edmonds. "Their commitment to this program not only created an incredible legacy and foundation for our program to continue to grow from, but continues to shape the future of our teams. I am excited to honor their achievements, past and present, as we reconnect with them this spring."
The 2025 Women's Basketball Alumni Reunion is a unique opportunity to reconnect, relive cherished memories, and celebrate the ongoing success and future of Rice women's basketball. We look forward to welcoming back all alumni and creating lasting memories together.
