
Fisher Named Dave Campbell’s All-Texas Honorable Mention

HOUSTON – Rice women's basketball junior forward Malia Fisher was named All-Texas Honorable Mention by Dave Campbell's Texas Basketball.
An All-AAC Third Team selection this season, Fisher averaged 13.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game, leading the Owls in each category. During the AAC Tournament, Fisher averaged 14.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game, earning All-Tournament MVP honors and leading the Owls to the AAC Championship, securing the fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Fisher recorded her 1,000th career point in the NCAA Tournament at LSU, becoming the 26th athlete in program history to reach the milestone. Earlier this season, Fisher dropped a career-high 30 points with 12 rebounds at UTSA. She followed that performance with 20 points in the AAC Second Round game against UAB.
This is Fisher's third time being named All-Texas Honorable Mention.
