Adams, Bokunewicz Named CSC Academic All-District

HOUSTON – Rice women's basketball red-shirt freshman Hailey Adams and junior Maya Bokunewicz have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced.
Adams has appeared in 32 games this season, earning 12 starts, averaging 4.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. During conference play, she averaged 6.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. She recorded a double-double with a career-high 17 points and career-high 12 rebounds in Rice's win over Tulsa. Adams also had a career-high three blocks twice this season. She was tied for the most blocks on the team with 20. Adams was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll last season.
Bokunewicz appeared in 33 games with one start, averaging 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Bokunewicz was third on the team with a .352 three-point percentage. She had a career-high 26 points against Saint Mary's earlier this season, tying her school record for three-pointers in a game with seven. Bokunewicz is a two-time C-USA Commisioner's Honor Roll honoree and was awarded a 2023-24 C-USA Academic Medal.
