Rice concludes its current five-game homestand by welcoming Prairie View A&M to Reckling on Tuesday evening. The following morning, the Owls will fly to Honolulu to renew their series with Hawai'i for the first time since 2013.

Owls and the Panthers
This will be the 15th meeting between the schools, the 12th in the regular season, with all 15 games taking place on the Rice campus. The schools first met in 1986 in a three-game series at Cameron Field and met twice in 1993 and 1994. The Panthers made their Reckling Park debut on June 2, 2006 in the opening game of the NCAA Regional as the Owls, who were the national #2 seed in the tournament needed to overcome an early 5-1 deficit. The schools met both in the regular and postseason in 2007 and again in the first round of the regional in 2012. The series resumed in 2019 followed by games in 2021 and last season.
