Series wraps up at noon on Saturday
The Details: After Wichita State took an early 1-0 lead, Jack Riedel led off the third with his first career triple as his deep fly to the left field corner hit the top of the wall. Pierce Gallo brought him home on a sacrifice bunt and Ben Royo followed with a bunt that was mishandled for a second error. Kyte McDonald then loaded the bases with a bunt single, but the Shockers quieted the rally with a double-play and a ground out. Ben Royo slammed his first homer in the seventh inning and Riedel drilled a long home run to right in the ninth to account for the Owls' other two runs.

Notes
- Rice fell to 9-18, 3-8 on the road, 5-9 in day games, 1-4 in the ACC, 2-5 vs. Wichita State, and 2-5 in the middle game of the series.
- The Owls have four homers in the first two games of the series and have had back-to-back multi-homer games for the second time this season… They hit three in the final game of the Notre Dame series on 2/18 and added two vs. Sam Houston on 2/20.
- Riedel's homer was his second in the series and the 20th of his career… He has hit seven homers in 14 day games this year.
