
Jackson Earns Spot on AAC Honor Roll

IRVING – Rice fifth-year guard Destiny Jackson was named to the AAC Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor of the season for Jackson and the second for the Owls.
Jackson hit the game-winning layup at the buzzer to give Rice a 65-63 road win at SMU last Sunday. She finished the game with a season-high 17 points, a season-high seven assists, six rebounds, a block and a steal.
Jackson had 12 points, three assists and three rebounds in Rice's 76-64 win over Wichita State in the Owls' debut game in the AAC. She is second on the team with 10.2 points per game and leads the team with 2.5 assists per game.
The Owls (8-5, 2-0 AAC) will be back in action on Thursday when the team welcomes Charlotte to Tudor Fieldhouse. That game will start at 7:00 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
