Men’s Basketball Travels to Temple in Battle of Owls

HOUSTON — Rice will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., this Saturday, January 20, to take on Temple. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed by ESPN+.

Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Saturday afternoon's game with a 6-11 record, and 0-4 in the American Athletic Conference. The Owls are looking for their first AAC victory after falling to Charlotte in overtime on Tuesday, 81-79.
• Rice is led by fifth-year senior guard Travis Evee, who is scoring 16.7 points per game, good for sixth in the American. He's adding 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals while placing fifth in the league in free throw percentage (.850) and eighth in three-pointers made per game (2.1).
• Sophomore guard Mekhi Mason is second on the team with 13.2 points and 2.5 assists and third with 4.2 rebounds.
• Fifth-year senior forward Max Fiedler is averaging 9.9 points while placing second in the conference with 9.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He's also fourth in field goal percentage, connecting on 63.9% from the floor. Fiedler also leads the league and is 10th in the nation with 3.8 offensive rebounds per game.
