
Women’s Basketball Season Tickets on Sale

HOUSTON – Season tickets for Rice women's basketball's inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference are now on sale. With a home slate featuring top teams around the country, season tickets guarantee Rice fans the best seating options for this upcoming season.
The Owls will play 15 home games with six non-conference and nine conference games on the schedule.
Season tickets are $75 for general admission and can be purchased by calling 713-348-OWLS (6957) or by clicking here.
Rice will host Angelo State on Nov. 1, for an exhibition before opening the season against Houston Christian at Tudor Fieldhouse on Nov. 6. The rest of the non-conference slate features: Georgia Tech (Nov. 16), Saint Mary's (Nov. 19), Texas Southern (Nov. 29), Gonzaga (Dec. 9) and Prairie View A&M (Dec. 16).
For AAC play, Rice will host East Carolina, Memphis, SMU, South Florida, Tulsa, Temple, Wichita State, North Texas and Charlotte.
The complete women's basketball schedule with dates and times will be released at a later time. The first conference dates will be Dec. 29-31, 2023 and league play will run through March 6, 2024. The 2024 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on March 9-13.
Last season, in just head coach Lindsay Edmonds second season, the Owls saw the best start in program history (9-0) which featured back-to-back-to-back wins at Texas A&M, vs. TCU and vs. Houston (2OT). The Owls (23-9) went on to earn a bid to the WNIT, where they defeated BYU on the road in the opening round before falling to Oregon in the second round.
Rice returns multiple key players from last season including 2023 C-USA Second Team selection Malia Fisher while Destiny Jackson also returns for a fifth season with the Owls.
