Christmas at Tudor
The Owls have their final home non-conference game Saturday afternoon against Prairie View A&M. Rice will be having 'Christmas at Tudor' with free t-shirts for students and fans. Rice will head to Houston next Wednesday for the non-conference finale.
Last Time Out
The Owls dropped a hard-fought 80-72 game to #23 Gonzaga last Saturday at Tudor Fieldhouse. Destiny Jackson led Rice with 16 points in the game, while Dominique Ennis added another 14 points.
Rice vs. PVAMU
This is the 20th meeting between the two, with the Owls holding a 16-3 all-time series lead. Rice has won the last seven games against the Lady Panthers and holds an 11-0 record at home against Prairie View.

Dominique Ennis earned the first AAC Honor for the Owls, being named to the AAC Honor Roll after dropping a career-high 25 points, with six three-pointers, while adding a career-high five assists, five rebounds and four steals in Rice's 74-44 win over Texas Southern. Ennis added another 14 points at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Maya Buckets
Bokunewicz drained seven threes in Rice's 73-62 win over Saint Mary's, tying the school record for threes in a game (fourth time, second for Maya). Bokunewicz joins Jenny Cafferty (Fresno State 1-27-00), Kara Liggett (San Jose State 2-17-00), Katelyn Crosthwait (UTSA 1-16-23) and herself (UAB 3-5-22) with seven in a game.
Historic Feats vs. HCU
Rice allowed only five points in the first half against HCU, marking the fewest points allowed in a half in program history. The Huskies' lone point in the first quarter also marked the fewest points scored against Rice in program history.
Fisher Tabbed for Preseason Honors, Owls Picked Third
Junior forward Malia Fisher was named to the 2023 Preseason All-AAC Second Team. Fisher, an All-C-USA Second Teamer last season, was second on the team with 11.8 points per game while leading the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. She also had a team-high five double-doubles on the season. Fisher had a career-high 22 points, including the game-winning steal and layup against Louisiana Tech. Rice was selected third in the team's AAC debut, finishing behind preseason favorite South Florida and last season's champion East Carolina.
