Owls Fall in Second Exhibition

Drills continue throuigh November 18
Houston- Kyte McDonald collected three hits and Nathan Becker hit a two-run homer, but Rice dropped a 9-5 decision to McClennan Junior College in the Owls' final fall exhibition game on Friday night at Reckling Park.
Details: McDonald was 3x4 during the 12-inning contest while Becker and Brendan Cumming were each 2x4 to collect seven of the Owls' 14 hits during the game. Eric Correa, Graiden West and Aric Anderson each drove in a run. A total of 11 pitchers worked in the game. Jack Ben-Shoshan struck out three in his one inning of work and freshman Jackson Blank fanned a pair in his inning.
Up Next: The Owls will continue fall drills through November 18 before breaking until the return to practice in January in advance of the season-opening series with Notre Dame on February 16.
