Rice Football Announces Game Themes for 2022 Campaign

After the recent announcement of a formal entry date into the American Athletic Conference, Rice Football has launched the official game themes and special promotional offers for the Owls' six home games this fall.
Rice will play four of its six home football games under the lights at Rice Stadium in 2022 as part of its broadcast schedule. The fan-friendly evening home kickoffs at the start of the season aligns with the "For The Owls" campaign, allowing for a better game day experience during the hotter months of the football season. The home and conference schedule features nine appearances on the ESPN platform in addition to a Thursday night prime time appearance on CBS Sports Network at Rice Stadium against UTEP.
Each of the six home games will feature a centralized theme in addition to supporting promotions that tie in each of the game days. In addition to the overall themes, new promotions this year include the opportunity to host a birthday party at Rice Stadium. Those interested in hosting a birthday party can contact the Rice Ticket Office at (713) 348-OWLS (6957) and speak to Patrick, Katie, or Blake to select the best available dates or email tickets@rice.edu!

Rice vs McNeese presented by Yeungling (Sept. 10 • 6:30PM) – NASA Space Day Game
Learn about the exploration of space and commemorate the 60th Anniversary of John F. Kennedy's 'Moon Shot' speech at Rice Stadium. While special game day details will be released closer to September, fans are now able to secure their spot at the game through the purchase of seat tickets that include an exclusive Rice Space Scarf (available as supplies last per ticket purchase; must be picked up on game day at Rice Stadium). Season ticket members will receive a special commemorative game ticket and can look for further details to be communicated in the coming weeks.

Rice vs Louisiana presented by DoubleTree Hotel (Sept. 17 • 6:30PM) – Blue & Gray Day
It's time to fill up HRS with the Rice Family wearing the Blue & Gray colors to cheer the Owls to victory! On Blue & Gray Day, it will be a perfect time to truly show the competition what Rice Fight Never Dies is all about!
Rice Owls Letterwinners are invited to attend this exciting match up under the lights against the Ragin Cajuns! The inaugural Letterwinner Day presented by the "R" Association will include discounted tickets, a pregame tailgate, and special halftime recognition for all Rice Letterwinners. This event will be family-friendly, so feel free to bring the whole family! All Letterwinners are encouraged to RSVP by visiting this registration link in order to receive discounted tickets to the game.

Join the Owls to recognize and honor those who serve, at Rice's annual salute to active military members and veterans along with #All4HTX Day, a recognition of all Houston community heroes who live a life of public service each and every day to keep our communities safe.
