In Brief: Rice wraps up the 2022 home schedule on Saturday when they host cross-town rival Houston and celebrate the careers of Anna Bowtell and Anastasia and Victoria Smirnova for Senior Day. Ceremonies will begin shortly before first serves at 11 a.m.

The Owls: Rice enters the weekend 12-6 (4-1 in conference play) and ranked 55th in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point .
Houston: The Cougars are 13-8 this season and have won their last two, including a 4-3 win at North Texas on Sunday. This is the 31st meeting in the dual series dating back to 1980 and the Owls lead the series 19-12 thanks to wins in the last eight meetings. The Cougars' last win came in 2004.
