Road Match With Tulane Next Up for Owls

In Brief: After closing out a unbeaten slate of seven consecutive home matches, the 34^th ranked Rice women's tennis team hits the road to take on Tulane in New Orleans on Saturday.

Tulane: This will be the first meeting between the schools since 2015 when Rice took a 4-0 win at GRBTC. Rice leads the series 14-7 and has won the last eight matches dating back to a 6-1 in New Orleans in 2010. That win by Rice snapped a seven-match winning streak for Tulane. Rice has won the last three matches played in New Orleans.

Owls Notables:

Rice is 8-3 so far this year in the doubles point (8-0 when winning the point).
Rice has seen three members of the Owls win C-USA's Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week this season: Federica Trevisan (Jan. 10), Maria Budin (Feb. 10), Diae El Jardi (March 3).
Trevisan (8-1) leads the Owls in dual singles wins and has won her last seven decisions while El Jardi has won her last five.

Schedule Update: The Rice women have added a match with Prairie View at 11 a.m. on April 11 as part of a combined dual with the Rice men's team that will also serve as Senior Day.

Next Up: The Owls return to familiar surroundings next Thursday when they host a combined dual with Rice men's team against UTA at 11 a.m.
