Owls Travel to UAB Saturday
For the second time this season, and twice in a little over two weeks, the Owls will square off against the Blazers of UAB. Rice won the first matchup back on Feb. 6 by a score of 64-53 behind 25 points from Erica Ogwumike and a defense that limited UAB to just 34 percent shooting, including a 21 percent performance from three-point territory.

Last Time Out
The Owls erased a 13-point first half deficit by outscoring North Texas 43-29 in the second half en route to a 69-66 home victory Thursday evening on Fight Cancer Night at Tudor Fieldhouse. Rice stopped a mini two-game slide behind a career-high 33 points from senior guard Erica Ogwumike, who also collected a game-high 12 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season. Joining Ogwumike in double-figures was junior guard Sydne Wiggins (12 points) and freshman wing Lauren Schwartz (10 points). With the victory, Rice moved back into a tie for first place with Old Dominion in the C-USA standings and improved to 37-2 at Tudor Fieldhouse over the past three seasons.

The two games she failed to record double-digit rebounds she notched nine rebounds in each contest.
