Women's Tennis Kicks Off 20-21 Athletics Season

The Lede: The Rice women's tennis team inaugurated the Owls 20-21 athletics season by competing in the opening round of the Texas A&M Invitational at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station on Friday.
The Details: After a span of 222 days since they last took the court, the Owls split six doubles matches while Linda Huang posted the Owls win in singles. Huang and Michaela Haet recorded Rice's first win of the year, downing LSU's Nina Geissler and Eden Richardson 7-5 in the first round of doubles
Elizabeth Schmidt: "It was nice to be back out on competition court. Definitely many things to build on. The way Linda competed and played was definitely a highlight. She has been showing that same level on practice court so was great to see her implement it on the competition court."
