Rice Takes to Norfolk to Face League-Leader Old Dominion

HOUSTON — Rice will try for its second straight road conference win this Saturday, Feb. 2, when it travels to Norfolk, Va., to face league-leader Old Dominion. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be livestreamed by ESPN+.
Scouting Rice
• Rice is 9-13 overall and 4-5 in Conference USA. The Owls are looking for their second straight win after defeating Charlotte, 65-61, on Thursday.
• Rice has four players averaging double-figures, led by freshman guard Chris Mullins with 12.6 points. He also leads the team in steals with 1.4 per game.
• Junior forward Robert Martin is second on the team with 12.1 points and 6.1 rebounds. He is connecting on 49.0% from the field and 44.2% from three, which is third in Conference USA.
• Junior guard Ako Adams is third on the team with 11.9 points per game. He is connecting on 40.0% from three, good for eighth in the league while leading the team with 2.9 assists per game. He also leads Conference USA in free throw percentage, connecting on 90.5% from the line.
• Graduate student Jack Williams is scoring 10.1 points while leading the squad with 8.0 rebounds, which is fifth in the league.
• The Owls are scoring 75.5 points but are allowing 78.3.
