Men’s Hoops Welcomes Crosstown Rival Houston to Tudor Fieldhouse

HOUSTON — Rice returns home for a single game this Tuesday, Nov. 19, when it hosts crosstown rival Houston in the first meeting at Tudor Fieldhouse since 2013. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be livestreamed by CBS Sports Network on Facebook.
Scouting Rice
• Rice enters today's game with a 4-1 record. The Owls have won their last four games after earning an 82-81 victory at UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
• Sophomore Trey Murphy III leads the Owls with 15.2 points per game and is fourth on the team in rebounds, pulling down 5.2 per game. He is also fifth in Conference USA in three-pointers per game (2.8).
• Senior Ako Adams is second on the team with 9.8 points per game and is tied for the team lead in assists (3.4).
• Sophomore Payton Moore is third on the team in scoring with 8.4 points.
• Sophomore Drew Peterson is fourth on the team in scoring (8.2) while leading the squad with 6.8 rebounds per game. He's also tied for the team lead with 2.8 assists.

• Sophomore guard Quentin Grimes is third on the team averaging 11.5 points redshirt junior guard DeJon Jarreau is added 10.5 points.
• Sophomore guard Nate Hinton leads the team and is tied for 10th in the American with 7.5 rebounds per game.
• Houston is averaging 77.5 points per game while allowing just 64.0.
