The Lede: Anastasia Smirnova won her fourth match of the tournament but her twin sister Victoria dropped her opening match during qualifying singles play at the 2019 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday.
The Details: Anastasia Smirnova defeated Miranda Ramirez of Syracuse in three sets and will take on Vanessa Wong of Washington on Tuesday with the winner advancing to Wednesday's main single draw. Victoria Smirnova fell to Natasha Subhash of Virginia and will play in the consolation round on Tuesday. Anastasia Smirnova and Priya Niezgoda advanced to the second round of doubles qualifying after Miami's Yuna Ito and Ulyana Shirkova withdrew, but dropped their second round match to Tereza Janatova and Anna Vrebenska of Ole Miss.
