Rice Goes for Fourth Straight Home Win against UAB

HOUSTON — Rice will try for its second straight victory and fourth straight at home when it closes its homestand this Saturday, Jan. 26, against UAB. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be livestreamed by ESPN+.
Scouting Rice
• Rice is 8-12 overall and 3-4 in Conference USA. The Owls snapped a three-game losing streak on Thursday, defeating Middle Tennessee, 79-68.
• Rice has four players averaging double-figures, led by freshman guard Chris Mullins with 12.8 points. He also leads the team in steals with 1.5 per game.
• Junior forward Robert Martin is second on the team with 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds. He is connecting on 47.6% from the field and 42.0% from three, which is sixth in Conference USA.
• Junior guard Ako Adams is third on the team with 11.7 points per game. He is connecting on 38.4% from three while leading the team with 2.9 assists per game. He also leads Conference USA and is 10th in the country (as of Jan. 24) in free throw percentage, connecting on 91.2% from the line.
