
Rice Returns Home to Face Middle Tennessee

HOUSTON — Rice returns home for two games, beginning next Thursday, Jan. 24, when it hosts Middle Tennessee. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be livestreamed by CUSAtv.
Scouting Rice
• Rice is 7-12 overall and 2-4 in Conference USA. The Owls are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after falling at North Texas, 76-75, last Saturday.
• Rice has four players averaging double-figures, led by junior forward Robert Martin with 12.5 points. He is connecting on 48.6% from the field and a team-high 43.3% from three, which is fifth in Conference USA. He's also second on the team with 6.1 rebounds per game.
• Freshman guard Chris Mullins with 12.5 points. He also leads the team in steals with 1.4 per game.
• Junior guard Ako Adams is third on the team with 11.8 points per game. He is connecting on 38.7% from three while leading the team with 2.9 assists per game. He also leads Conference USA in free throw percentage, connecting on 90.4% from the line.
• Graduate student Jack Williams is scoring 10.6 points while leading the squad with 8.1 rebounds, which is fifth in the league.
