Cross-State Rivals Meet Saturday at Tudor Fieldhouse
The Rice Owls will carry a six-game win streak into Saturday's contest against the North Texas Mean Green, having won 12 of their last 13 games overall. Rice has won their first four conference games for the first time in program history and have done so by an average margin of 21.5 points. Rice's 13-3 start matches last year's record through the first 16 games.
The Owls lead the all-time series against North Texas, 8-4, and the two teams have been involved in some thrilling finishes over the last three seasons. During that span the two teams have played three overtime contests with four games decided by three or less points.

Five Owls - Nicole Iademarco (15 points), Erica Ogwumike (13 pts.), Haylee Swayze (12 pts.), Nancy Mulkey & Jasmine Smith (both 11 pts.) - all reached double-digits in the win.

Over the last three years under head coach Tina Langley, the Owls have a 34-6 record at Tudor Fieldhouse, which includes 16 straight win over non-conference opponents.

Iademarco Hitting the Mark
Over her last four games senior guard Nicole Iademarco has found her groove on the offensive end. Iademarco is averaging 15.8 points on 55 percent shooting (22-of-40) and has made 48 percent of her three-point attempts (13-of-27). Last weekend she became Rice's all-time leader in made three-pointers and will enter Saturday needing just 7 more points for 1,000 career points at Rice.

The Mean Green have won six of their last seven games but are coming off a 57-54 home loss to UTSA last weekend. Redshirt senior guard Terriell Bradley ranks third in C-USA with 18.4 points per contest while junior post Anisha George is second in the league in field goal percentage (61.5 percent).
