Hodge Earns Academic All-District Accolades

Rice senior tennis player Lindsey Hodge has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 Women's At-Large Team in voting by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).
The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District Team At-Large Team recognizes the top student-athletes in 13 women's sports (Beach Volleyball, Bowling, Crew/Rowing, Field Hockey, Golf, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Rifle, Skiing, Swimming, Tennis and Water Polo). Honorees are selected for both on the field and off the field performances.
All honorees become eligible for the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America team which will be announced in June.
Hodge is the fifth women's tennis player to earn district honors and the second in the last two years, joining Katherine Ip in 2017.
Hodge boasts a 4.02 GPA in sport management with a business minor at Rice and is a two-time Conference USA All-Academic honoree. She has earned the ITA Women's Scholar Athlete Award three years in a row, is a four-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal honoree and has been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll four times. Hodge has earned a spot on the Rice President's Honor Roll five times, and is Rice's SAAC President.
Hodge was the Owls primary player at the first position in both singles and doubles the past three years and was a first team all-conference selection in both singles and doubles three times in her career. She was twice honored as the Outstanding Doubles of the C-USA Championship (2015, 2017) as well as Outstanding Singles of the 2017 Championship and led Rice to three C-USA titles and four NCAA appearances.
