
Rice Hosts UC Santa Barbara to Close Homestand

HOUSTON — Rice closes its three-game homestand this Saturday, Dec. 15, when it hosts UC Santa Barbara. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be livestreamed by ESPN+.
Scouting Rice
• Rice is 4-6 after defeating St. Edward's, 78-73, on Thursday to snap a four-game losing streak.
• Rice has four players double-figures, led by guard Ako Adams with 12.4 points per game. The junior is connecting on 39.0% from three while also leading the team with 3.3 assists per game. He is also second in Conference USA in free throw percentage, connecting on 92.6% from the line.
• Guard Robert Martin is second on the team with 11.4 points. The junior is connecting on 50.7% from the field and 45.5% from three. He's also second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.
• Guard Chris Mullins is scoring 11.0 points while leading the team with 1.5 steals.
