Hodge & Zhang Move on to ITA Consolation Semifinals

Lindsey Hodge and Wendy Zhang picked up their second consecutive win to advance to the semifinal round of the consolation draw of the inaugural Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Indian Wells, California on Friday.

The Rice seniors, who earned a berth in the tournament by capturing the title at the ITA Texas Regional, downed Texas Tech's Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici, who entered the tournament as the second seeds, 6-1, 6-4.

They will face Northwestern's Erin Larner and Maddie Lipp at 3 p.m. Saturday looking to reach the finals against the winner of the match between Northwestern's Alex Chatt and Lee Or and FIU's Ulyana Grib and Maryna Veksler.
