The Rice women's tennis team saw all three doubles teams and three individuals reach the quarterfinals in the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas on Saturday.
The annual event has seen the schedule truncated by persistent rain storms. Saturday's doubles matches were decided by a one set played to six, while singles was also shortened to a single set to eight points.
Senior Natalie Beazant, who captured both titles two years ago, advanced in singles to the quarterfinal round and teamed with Liat Zimmerman to do the same in doubles. They will be joined in the round of eight by their fellow Owls doubles tandems of Solomiya Zinko/Savannah Durkin and Alison Ho and Lindsey Hodge.
In singles Beazant will be joined in Sunday's quarters by sophomore Ho and freshmen Hodge looking to advance to the semifinals later in the day on Sunday
