Beazant and Harmath Advance to Round of 16

Dominique Harmath outlasted the tournament's fifth seed, while second-seeded Natalie Beazant advanced in straight sets to highlight the second day of action at the USTA-ITA Texas Regional Championships wrapped up at the Hurd Tennis Center on the campus of Baylor University in Waco.
Harmath survived a tiebreak loss in the first set to down Texas A&M's Nazari Urbina 6-7, 7-6, 6-4 and join her doubles partner (Beazant) in moving on to the round of 16. Urbina was the fifth seed in the regional and the 38th ranked singles player in the country.
Beazant downed Elizabeth Begley of Texas 7-5, 6-4. Katie Gater extended Baylor's Victoria Kisialeva to three sets before falling 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Kimberly Anicete fell in straight sets to Noel Scott of Texas.
Beazant and Harmath were joined in the round of 32 in doubles by Gater and Liat Zimmerman and Kimberly Anicete and Solomiya Zinko.
