Henley Named Rice Athlete Of The Week

Sophomore Tyler Henley batted a composite .357 to help the Owls go undefeated on the week, leading the team in RBI (6), home runs (2), walks (3), total bases (13) slugging percentage (.929) and on-base percentage (.474). He hit a three-run homer at Zephyr Field to win the Saturday C-USA game at Tulane, 3-2. He also had six runs scored and hit safely in every game last week. Defensively he gunned down an advancing runner from his spot in center field and was error-free in 11 total chances.
