HOUSTON - Here's a one-of-a-kind chance to own authentic, game-worn Rice baseball jerseys from recent years. Game jerseys will be for sale this Friday, Feb. 17, on a first come first serve basis. Jerseys will be sold at varying prices, ranging from $50 to $100. Jerseys from the Owls' College World Series appearances in 1997, 1999, 2002, and the 2003 National Championship season are included in this unique opportunity to show your support and contribute to the program.
The sale is in conjunction with the Coca-Cola Classic Tournament this weekend at Reckling Park. The first game of the annual tournament between Lamar and Long Beach State is at 1 pm. The sale begins at 3 pm. Plan on arriving early to help your chances of getting the jersey of your choice.
Also note that Friday's 4:30 pm game against Oklahoma is Coca-Cola Fan Frenzy Day. Fans will be eligible to win great prizes courtesy of Coca-Cola! For tickets, please visit the Rice Ticket Office On-line or call 713-522-OWLS.
