Women's Tennis: Rice Walks Over 52nd-Ranked Oregon

Lewis, playing at number one singles, overcame the 3-6 loss in the first set to win the match 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 over Oregon's Alina Wygonowska. Hagedorn also rebounded from a 3-6 first set to claim the 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory over Adeune Arnayd at number four singles. The two then joined forces to give the Owls the 8-6 win at number two doubles, topping Wygonowska and Jeanette Mattsson.
Also posting singles win for Rice were Erin Waters who grabbed the 7-6, 6-3 point from Janice Nyland and Natalie Briaud who netted the 6-2, 6-2 match from Valerie Young.
Waters and Charlotte Feasby combined to capture the 8-3 doubles point for the Owls and Briaud joined Jeri Gonzales for the 8-6 doubles win.
